Simon A. Levin
Simon Asher Levin is the Moffett Professor of Biology and the Director of the Center for BioComplexity at Princeton University. He has held regular and visiting faculty positions at a number of prestigious universities in the U.S. and abroad and is widely recognized for his contribution to the understanding of macroscopic patterns and processes in ecosystems and the evolution and sustaining of biological diversity. The numerous honors bestowed on him include the MacArthur Award, election to the National Academy of Sciences, the 2004 Heineken Prize for Environmental Sciences and the 2005 Kyoto Prize in the Biological Sciences.
