Congratulations to Professor Edriss Titi!

The paper "Global Well-Posedness of the Three-Dimensional Viscous Primitive Equations of Large Scale Ocean and Atmosphere Dynamics" written jointly by Edriss Titi and his former student Chongsheng Cao from UCI (appeared in 2007 Annals of Mathematics), has won the SIAM activity group in Analysis of PDEs Prize for the best paper in PDE in the last 4 years. The award will be presented to them in the coming meeting of the SIAM activity group in Analysis of PDEs in Miami between December 7-10, 2009, and Edriss will be giving an invited Plenary talk about this work in this meeting.
