The Department of Mathematics at UC Irvine and the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM), are sponsoring the first Sonia Kovalevsky Mathematics Day. A day long program featuring interesting mathematics workshops, and fun hands-on activities for girls. This event is designed to inspire high school and middle school girls to continue their study of mathematics.
The 1st annual Sonia Kovalevsky Mathematics Day at the University of California, Irvine will feature fun, hands-on activities, talks by leading female mathematicians, free lunch, social interaction with other Orange County students and mini math competitions for great prizes!
